KATHMANDU, Sept 16: India once again stunned Nepal to completed title hat-trick as it edged past Nepal 3-1 in the final of Second Women’s SAFF Championship in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Sunday.
Though Nepal took an early lead with a goal from Deepa Adhikari in the third minute, the lead could not last long as India leveled the score in the eighth minute. [break]
India scored its second goal in the 66th minute through a free kick as Nepali goalie failed to judge the direction of the ball.
India scored its third goal in the 83rd minute, sealing an emphatic victory.
