Indefinite traffic obstruction on Beni-Darbang road section

MYAGDI, June 23: Myagdi jeep and bus operators committee has obstructed traffic on Beni-Darbang road section in Myagdi district for indefinite from Thursday, saying road maintenance work is being delayed due to negligence of District Development Committee, Rural Reconstruction and Livelihood Improvement Program and contractor.



According to secretary of the committee, Suman Shrestha, they obstructed traffic for indefinite to pressurize bodies concerned after the road is being damaged inspite of upgrading.[break]



As many as 45 buses and 5 jeeps have been providing their service in the district under the committee. People of more than 20 VDCs including Singa, Babiyachour, Darbang, Arman, Niskot, Devisthan and Rum in the district are in problem due to the obstruction of traffic.



The maintenance work has not been completed yet which was started on 2064 BS after the agreement of two years.
