Speaking at a program in Biratnagar, he said, "We will wait until the budget is introduced. If our issues are not addressed in the budget, we will take to the street". [break]
He also accused the three major parties—UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML of getting involved in the power struggle and said; “Our fight is for peace and the constitution.”
He further asked the parties to act on the five point deal signed prior to extending the Constituent Assembly tenure by three months on May 28 and said, “We will strongly present ourselves in parliament after mid-July to make the signatories implement the pact.”
A day earlier, the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), an alliance of five Madhes based parties including the MPRF-D, had submitted a 15-point memorandum to Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal and the top brass of the three major parties, making it clear that realization of national consensus is impossible by excluding the Madhes parties in the decision making processes.
