Vice President Jha also gave away cash prize and certificates to the winners in all the seven categories – Samsung Galaxy S4 Daily Life, Daya Foundation Culture and Tourism, Naturally Nepal Wildlife and Nature, Shikhar Shoes News Photo, RJ Sports, PLO Lubricants Nepal Smile and Photo Story. The first, second and third place winners in each category walked home with the cash prize of Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively, while Sailendra Kharel, winner of the ‘IME Global IME Bank Photo of the Year’, won Rs 1 lakh cash prize. The panel of judges led by Senior Photo Journalist Gopal Chitrakar comprised of India’s Senior Photo Journalist Raghu Rai, Senior Photographer Mani Lama, Kantipur Daily’s Editor Sudheer Sharma, KU School of Arts’ Program Coordinator Sujan Chitrakar and PJ Club’s Chairman Prakash Mathema.
The exhibition is scheduled to end on July 15. The press release issued by the PJ Club states that the exhibition will also be held in Biratnagar, Pokhara, Nepalgunj and Dhangadhi.
