House approves Amatya's nomination

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee on Tuesday unanimously endorsed the government´s decision to appoint Sushil Chandra Amatya as ambassador to Sri Lanka.

Amatya is a former CPN-UML CA member who vacated his position for Madhav Kumar Nepal to pave way for the latter to become a CA member. The cabinet had nominated Amatya as the ambassador to Sri Lanka in July.
