Giving continuity to the annual jamboree of the advertising industry, AAAN is busy preparing to host Crity Awards 2010 in the last week of April, according to AAAN Secretariat.
Advertisements made between July 16, 2008 to July 15, 2009 were eligible for the 6th Crity Awards. The nominations closed on January 31. AAAN has received a total of 417 entries in 21 categories from 35 agencies.
The 5th Oranjeboom Crity Awards was the joint event for the year 2008 and 2009. The fifth edition of Crity Awards had received 334 entries in 20 categories from 31 agencies. The increasing number of competing agencies and entries in 2010 shows the competition among agencies in each category.
AAAN has made some changes in this year´s Crity Awards. The best creative agency category has been removed and new categories like Best Social Ad and Best Creative Youth Award have been added. The latter one is the major highlight of this year´s edition as it rewards and encourages new entrants in the industry.
“The award will be given to freelancers under the age of 30. For this award, AAAN will provide theme for the young talents 48 hours of the competition and they are required to submit and present their creativity in front of a panel of judges,” said Bharat Lal Nyachhyon, executive director of AAAN.
AAAN has received 10 nominations in this category.
Like previous years, AAAN will conduct SMS voting for the most popular television commercial (TVC) award. The voting will open for two weeks.
