The Ministry has said its attention has been drawn towards the illegal act of padlocking of various offices and institutes carried in the name of fulfilling various demands or expressing dissatisfaction on behalf of various unions and pressure groups.
Issuing a statement here on Sunday, the Ministry has said that creating any kind of obstruction to any government or public body and educational institution is an illegal act as per Clause 6 (c) of the Local Administration Act, 2028 BS.
Anyone found indulging in such acts could face a fine of Rs. 10,000 or a sentence of six months in prison or both, adds the statement.
