Holiday on Nepal Sambat New Year

KATHMANDU, Oct 17: The government on Friday decided to give public holiday on October 20 to mark Nepal Sambat New Year. A cabinet meeting held at the prime minister´s residence in Baluwatar on Friday decided to give holiday on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1130, according to Minister for Labour and Transport Management Aftab Aalam. The cabinet also decided to provide Rs 350,000 to Manka Khala, a Newari organization, to celebrate the New Year.
