HLPC forms an eight-member taksforce to resolve disputes on constituency delineation

KATHMANDU, July 18: A meeting of the High Level Political Committee (HLPC) on Thursday formed an eight-member taskforce to study constitutional and other complications in delineation of electoral constituencies and offer suggestions to the HLPC.



The taskforce members are Krishna Bahadur Mahara and Khimlal Devkota from UCPN (Maoist), Ram Sharan Mahat and Minendra Rijal from Nepali Congress (NC), Surendra Pandey and Agni Kharel from CPN-UML and Hridayesh Tripathi and Jitendra Dev from United Madhesi Democratic Front (UDMF). [break]



The taskforce is asked to give suggestions the potential ways to the HLPC within next three days. The meeting also decided to expedite the talks with the disgruntled parties to bring them on board the electoral process.
