Making an increment of Rs 50,000 and 25,000 for winners and runners up team, the organizers have decided to provide them a cash prize of Rs 200,000 and Rs 100,000 respectively.[break]
Similarly, the best player will be given Rs 25,000 and the highest scorer will bag Rs 15,000. The man-of-the-match of final match will be awarded with 10,000 and a Bird mobile set. The man-of-the-match from each game will also get a Bird mobile set.
"All the preparations, expect the promotional part, for the tournament to begin from next week have been done," Subash Rai, coordinator of the main organizing committee and president of the organizing club said. "From today onwards we are gearing up the promotion of the event through FM stations, local newspapers, pamphletings and others."
A-51 member main organizing committee and eight different subcommittees have been formed to conduct the tournament smoothly.
Altogether 12 teams, including two from abroad, are participating in the event. Defending champions Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT), hosts Dharan Football Club, Three Star, Nepal Police Club, Armed Police Force, Himalayan Sherpa Club Workers Martyrs Memorial Club, Sahara Club, Jhapa Football Association and Moran Football Association from across the country and Namchi Football Club of Sikkim, India and Mirpur Football Club of Bangaldesh will contest in the event.
The expected cost of the event is Rs 2.9 million.
