According to Area Police Office, Gajuri, the accident took place when a truck (Na 2 Kha 3030) en route to Kathmandu from Narayangarh hit a motorcycle (Ra 1 Pa 5208) coming from the same direction.
Motorbike rider Keshab Shrestha of Lakhanpur VDC-4 of Ramechhap district died on the spot. His brother Sanjeev Shrestha was injured in the incident.
Locals brought vehicular movement into a complete standstill after the incident. Thousands of passengers have been stranded on the road because of disruption in the highway.
