Highland areas in Taplejung witness snowfall

TAPLEJUNG, Jan 1: High altitude areas in Taplejung received snowfall, coupled with rain, on Thursday night, taking its toll on normal life in the areas with a considerable dip in mercury.Areas like Olanchungola, Yangma, Ghunsa, Lelep, Gyabla, Tokpegola, Phale, Yamfudin, Mamangkhe, Phakumba and Ikhabu and the areas surrounding Pathibhara Temple have been hit hard due to increasing cold, following snowfall, local people said.
