KATHMANDU, April 2: The hearing on the application of detained journalist Rishi Dhamala did not conclude on Thursday after lawyers could not finish their pleadings. The next hearing has been scheduled for Sunday.

Had the hearing concluded, the court would have decided whether Dhamala would be released or continued to be in the prison on charge of committing crimes related to murder, kidnapping, and arms and ammunition.

Arrested on February 3, Dhamal is currently in the Dillibazaar prison following an order from the Kathmandu District Administration Office, which has booked Dhamala on the crime related to arms and ammunition. The application under consideration of the Patan Appellate Court has sought the nullification of the order of the Kathmandu District Administration Office.
