There is no air ambulance in government and private sector so far in Nepal.Minister for Health and population, Rajendra Mahato, informed this at a news conference organized at the ministry, today.On the occasion, Minister Mahato said that now air ambulance is necessary in Nepal and the ministry has started necessary initiative for the same. The Ministry said that 2,000 temporary doctors have been sent to health institutions not to allow human resources crisis, the Nepal Health Service Act-2055 BS has been sent to the president after making amendment on it and the new health policy has reached to its final phase.
It was informed that there was a policy to make all the sub-health posts as health posts by 2015 and the National Health Communication Policy has been amended.
Minister Mahato said that he has been holding talks with Indian Health Minister for the operation of the Trauma Centre (Emergency Treatment Centre), built on the financial and technical support of the Government of India.
Similarly, Secretary at the Ministry, Dr. Praveen Mishra, said the ministry has been working with first priority to reaching health services to all.Chief at the Medical Division at the Ministry, Dr.
Tirtha Burlakoti, said that study on physical condition of the hospitals is underway and has completed study of 45 hospitals so far.
Chief of the National Health Education and Communication Centre, Badri Khadka, said that arrangement has been made for the publicity of health messages and information in inclusive manner through all media houses.
