HBL launches remit savings account

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) has launched a new deposit scheme named Himal Remit Savings Account, aiming to provide customized deposit products to its remittance customers.



According to a press release, the remittance customers of the bank can open this account at zero balance and enjoy five percent interest return per annum, free Visa debit card, accident insurance coverage for a maximum value of Rs 500,000 and any branch banking service.



In addition, the bank said it would also issue check book with minimum balance of Rs 1,000. The customers can enjoy this product from all 25 branches of the bank, says the release, adding that HBL remits approximately Rs 29.70 billion in the country every year.
