Harrison wins CACCI FNCCI Golf

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: Keith Harrison won the CACCI FNCCI Annual Golf Challenge at the Gokarna Golf Club on Saturday. Playing four handicap, Harrison scored 37 stableford points to finish ahead of Deepak Rajbhandari and Rene Vijay Einhaus by two strokes.



Rajbhandari claimed second position on count back whereas Einhaus--one handicap golfer--got the best gross award with three over gross score (33 gross points).[break]



Rita Thapa bagged the best lady golfer award with 27 points. Subodh Thapa with 33 points, won the group category among the CACCI members, Pradeep Kumar Shrestha was the runner-up.



Stephan Wong was the winner among international participants of CACCI members. Prabhakar Adhikari received closest to the pin award, TG Shrestha got the longest drive prize and Rene Vijay Einhaus won most birdies award with five birdies.



Altogether 54 players competed in the event organized by Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CACCI) and Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI). The tournament was played under stableford format with 3/4 handicap.



Chief of Army Staff Gaurab SJB Rana, Vice Chairman of CACCI Pradeep Kumar Shrestha, FNCCI President Pradeep Kumar Shrestha, President of Gokarna Golf Club Suhrid Ghimire and Executive Member of CACCI Stephan Wong distributed prizes to the winners.
