The tournament will feature competitions in U-14 boys´ and girls´ singles as well as U-21 boys´ singles categories. According to tournament coordinator Sushil Paudel, competition in U-21 age category is being held for the first time as an experiment.
Players who have not competed in any international tournament and are seeded below 16 in the senior level will be eligible to compete in the U-21 category. The organizers have expected participation of more than 200 players in the event. [break]

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Pratima Uprety scored a brace as Nepal Rastriya Higher Secondary School defeated Chantal Mauduit Academy 2-0 on Saturday in the Kathmandu Valley girls´ qualifiers for the Coca-Cola Cup Inter-school Boys´ and Girls´ Football Tournament.
In other matches, Namuna Machhindra and Modern Indian School emerged victorious. Namuna Machhindra edged past Madan Bhandari Memorial School 1-0 with a lone goal from Roma Bhujel. Similarly, Modern Indian School overcame Mahendra Bauddha Higher Secondary School 4-3 in tie-breaker following a 1-1 draw in regulation time. Rajani Rajbhandari had given the lead to Mahendra Bauddha but Modern Indian equalized through Monika Gurung.
