KATHMANDU, May 3: Standing Committee member of CPN-UML, KP Oli, has said the government wouldn´t be dissolved owing to the street protests.

"This coalition has majority in the parliament. Most of the 25 parties in the parliament have backed it. Therefore, this government can´t be dissolved just on the ground that few thousands of demonstrators stage in the streets," Oli told reporters on Monday.[break]

Claiming that some innocent people were gathered in the capital and they were suffering from various communicable diseases, he urged the government to make arrangement of vehicles to transport them from the capital to their villages.

"The government should help those innocent people who are gathered and left in lurch in the streets of Kathmandu," Oli said.

He claimed that the size of the crowd was shrinking day by day.

He urged the Maoists to call off the strike and seek solutions through dialogue.
