The cabinet meeting on Friday had formed a committee to recommend reshuffling of the secretaries.[break]
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Minister for Defense Bishnu Paudel and Minister for General Administration Yuba Raj Karki were members of the committee.
According to Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma, Secretary Lilamani Paudel has been transferred to the home ministry and Secretary Krishnahari Banskota has been appointed to the post of finance secretary.
Likewise, Gobind Kusum and Purushottam Ojha have been transferred to the Prime Minister’s Office and Chhabiraj Panta to the Ministry of Forest and Soil conservation, Sushil Ghimire to the Ministry of Local Development, Shankar Pandey to the Ministry of Education, Pratap Kumar Pathak to the Ministry of General Administration, Shreedhar Gautam to the Ministry of Information and Communications and Ganesh Raj Joshi to the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation.
Similarly, as per the new assignment, Dhruba Sharma is secretary at the Ministry of Peace and Reconciliation, Keshav Bhattarai is secretary at the Ministry of Land Reform and Management, whereas Shankar Koirala is sent to the Ministry of Industry, Ananda Pokharel to the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, Sri Ram Panta to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Balananda Sharma to the Ministry of Energy, Sushil Jung Rana to the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies, Krishna Gyawali to the Ministry of Environment, Ram Hari Aryal to the Ministry of Science and Technology, Tana Gautam to the Ministry of Irrigation, Shyam Prasad Mainali to the Public Service Commission, Kishor Thapa to the Election Commission, Shital Babu Regmi to the Water and Energy Commission, Yagya Gautam to the National Vigilance Centre, Brinda Hada to the Nepal Trust and Uma Kantha Jha to the Information Commission.
Yubaraj Bhusal and Soma Lal Subedi have been transferred to the National Planning Commission and the Prime Minister’s Office (Reserve) respectively.
