Govt offices still closed

MAHOTTARI, March 31: Locals of Mahottari district are facing problem after all government offices in the district have been closed due to continuous agitation of employees.



Civil servants have stopped working from Tuesday to protest the attack on VDC secretary and Chairman of Rights Protection Center, Mahottari, Shivaram Pandey. [break]



Service seekers who reached the district headquarter are facing problem.



According to former chairman of Bardibas VDC, Chirinjibi Hamal, people from northern areas of the district who reach the district headquarters walking 50 kilometers are the main victims.



Different civil servant organizations of the district announced closure of offices indefinitely demanding arrest of the people involved in the incident and action against them.



They are also demanding security for the employees and treatment for the injured employees.



Armed men attacked and injured Pandey on Monday evening while he was returning home from the district headquarters.
