Govt-MPRF talks positive

KATHMANDU, March 8: Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal and UML leaders held a meeting with leaders of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum, Nepal (MPRF) Tuesday evening in a bid to bring the second largest Madhesi party into the government.



MPRF leader Nandan Kumar Dutt said the leaders discussed constitution drafting, completing the peace process and addressing Madhesi issues at the meeting. [break]



Dutt said the meeting was positive as it addressed almost 90 percent of the issues the party has raised in its concept paper handed over to the prime minister.



According to a source, the government will formally reply to the party with regard to the concept paper on Wednesday, which will pave the way for the party to join the government.
