Responding to the government´s offer, Sarita Giri said, “A talk team representing our party will hold dialogues with the government on Wednesday.” She further said she would continue her hunger strike if the demands of her party are not met. She, however, said that she has taken the government´s move positively.
Party spokesperson Govinda Sah said that Giri would continue her hunger strike even while the party´s talks team engages in talks with the government. Earlier, Health Minister Bidyadhar Mallik had met Giri on Thursday. Giri is staging hunger strike since August 13 in the capital demanding a review of the number of election constituencies for the upcoming Constituent Assembly elections.
