Govt forms probe committee over Haque's murder

KATHMANDU, May 23: The government on Thursday appointed a committee under former Supreme Court justice Tahir Ali Ansari to investigate the murder of ex-lawmaker Sadrul Miya Haque.



A cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar formed the committee to probe the  killing of Haque. The meeting also decided to provide a relief amount of Rs one million to the bereaved family, according to Madhav Prasad Poudel, spokesperson for the government.



Likewise, the meeting decided to appoint former secretary Rabindra Kumar Shakya as Vice-chairman of National Planning Commission. The meeting also decided to delegate authority of Department of Foreign Employment In Saudi Arabia to the Nepalese embassy in that country.



Similarly, the government has decided to create additional 408 posts at the district, appellate and labors courts. The meeting also decided to dissolve the Landless Squatters´ Problems Resolution Commission.
