KATHMANDU, March 1: On the first day of the week, gold prices in Nepal surged to Rs 320,500 per tola. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders’ Association, the previous rate was Rs 314,900 per tola, marking an increase of Rs 5,600.
Silver is trading at Rs 5,985 per tola today, up from Rs 5,740, a rise of Rs 245 over two days, the association reported.
Gold and silver prices remain steady
The price hike follows the attack on Iran and the reported death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, reflecting immediate effects on the Nepali market.
