Gold price increases by Rs 1,000

KATHMANDU, Nov. 25: Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers´ Association (NEGOSIDA) has determined the price of hallmark gold at Rs. 61,850 on Sunday. It is the increase by Rs. 1,000 as compared to its price on Friday.



The NEGOSIDA traded the hallmark gold at Rs. 61,600 per tola today. It was traded at Rs. 60,600 on Friday.[break]



Similarly, the NEGOSIDA determined the price of fine silver at Rs. 1,225 per tola. Silver price has gone up by Rs. 25 per tola.



Chairman of the NEGOSIDA Tejratna Shakya said the bullion price went up as the price of the gold in the international market went up as compared to that of Friday and the value of the US dollar has increased by one rupee, therefore, the effect of the international market was made in the domestic market as well.



The value of one US dollar was Rs. 88.15 on Friday while it has been increased by one rupee and was traded at Rs. 89.15 today.
