KATHMANDU, Oct 26: Gold and silver prices have witnessed a sharp decline on the first trading day of the week.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, gold is being traded at Rs 241,900 per tola today, down by Rs 11,600 from last Monday’s rate of Rs 253,500 per tola before the Tihar holiday.

Silver prices have also declined. The precious metal is priced at Rs 3,150 per tola today, a decrease of Rs 265 compared to last Monday’s Rs 3,280 per tola.
The price correction is expected to attract buyers looking to purchase gold and silver during the festive and wedding season.
In the international market, gold is being traded at $4,113 per ounce while silver is priced at $48 per ounce today.
