According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers´ Association (Negosida), gold price increased in the domestic market due to weakening US dollar as well as downturn in global stock market.

Price of gold has been increasing since last Wednesday.

“Rise in crude prices in international market on the day is also one of the reasons behind surge in gold prices in the domestic market," said Tej Ratna Shakya, president of the Negosida.

The price of silver on the other hand remained unchanged at Rs 1,030 per tola on the day. Silver has not gained value since the last hike on July 8.
