A joint team of police from Metropolitan Police Range Office (MPRO) and Metropolitan Police sector Sorkhakhutte arrested Manangey from Thamel after Raj Nath Upadhyaya of Gorkha filed a complaint against Manangey over a bounced check worth Rs 2 million, said SSP Rana Bahadur Chand. [break]
Manange has promised to pay Upadhyay saying he had no intention to cheat the check bearer, said the police.
Manangey has been detained at the MPRO, Hanumandhoka.
He has been in police watch list after an investigation of Criminal Investigation Bureau found that he had accumulated properties worth more than Rs 10 million through unfair means.
