Nearly 150 women had uterine surgery at the camp jointly organized by Far-Western Regional Health Directorate and Mahakali Zonal Hospital.
Women whose uterus have fallen apart underwent surgery in the camp, said Dr. Dharmendra Singh, a surgeon involved in operation. Doctors also operated on those women whose gallbladders have fallen, he said.
Maximum number of the uterine prolapse victims, who visited the camp, hail from hilly community and poor family background. Launched on Jan 13, the camp will end on Jan 25.
Earlier, a similar camp was organized in Darchula and Baitadi districts where 680 women had undergone surgery.
