Four hurt in clay mine collapse

BAGLUNG, Jan 10: Four women were injured after being buried while extracting soil from a clay mine in Jaidi-9 of Baglung.



Sumitra Devi Sharma, 40, Maya Devi Sharma, 35, Goma Thapa, 24, and Kalpana Thapa , 22, were buried when a mass of soil fell upon them from above while they were digging the soil in Mauri hill.



The injured have been receiving treatment at Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara after being rescued by locals. Goma has had her leg broken while the rest are normal.
