Four held on charge of murder attempt

KATHMANDU, Jan. 8: Police have arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in murdering Phudorchi Sherpa, 29, of Makalu VDC-5 of Sankhuwasabha district, currently living in Chapali Bhadrakali VDC-8 in Kathmandu.



Sherpa, who was living by taking care of construction materials in a hut, was found murdered on Monday.



Those arrested are Pasang Nimba Sherpa of Yaphu VDC of Sankhuwasabha, Pasang Yangji Sherpa of Makalu VDC of Sankhuwasabha, Nir Kumar Karki of Deusa VDC of Solukhumbu and Phutenji Sherpa of Chheskan VDC of Solukhumbu district.



It is said that deceased´s wife Pasang Yangji and alleged Pasang Nimba Sherpa were in a love affair and the same was the main cause behind the murder of Phudorchi Sherpa, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Metropolitan Crime Division Devendra Subedi.
