Foreign secy off to China

KATHMANDU: A three-member delegation led by Foreign Secretary Arjun Bahadur Thapa left for China on Friday evening to attend the 10th meeting of the Bilateral Consultation Mechanism to be held in Beijing.



According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Thapa will hold talks with Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of China Liu Zhenmin on August 26. “The meeting will review pertinent issues in Nepal-China relationship and discuss new directions and dimensions of the bilateral ties between the two countries,” said the statement. A whole gamut of issues relating to bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest will be discussed at the meeting. Thapa will return to Kathmandu on 30 August 2013.
