Issuing a statement, FNCSI says a total of Rs 16 billion will be spent for the programs envisaged in the pact.
As per the deal, both the organizations will work together to make efforts for developing cottage and small industries by enhancing the access of rural people to renewal energy. They have also agreed to work jointly in generating employment opportunities and protecting environment in rural areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Environment, Science and Technology Dr Keshab Man Shakya stressed the need to focus on programs targeted for establishing linkage between energy and industries for the development of local communities.
The Federation of Nepalese Cottage and Small Industries (FNCSI) and Alternative Energy Promotion Center (AEPC) have signed an agreement to promote renewal energy as well as develop cottage and small industries.
