Five more companies get securities licenses

KATHMANDU, June 22: The Securities Board of Nepal (Sebon) issued licenses on Thursday to five more companies to operate securities business as stock broker, dealer and market maker.



Those firms receiving the licenses as per the Securities Businessperson (Stock Broker, Dealer & Market Maker) Regulations are Sunny Securities, South Asian Bulls, Linch Stock Market, Imperial Securities and Creative Securities.With the issuance of new licenses, the total number of firms obtaining licenses for securities business has reached 14. Issuing a statement on Thursday, the capital market regulator said the licenses were issued as the companies fulfill the requirements of specified infrastructure and human resources for operating the business.



Sebon said it would issue licenses to other aspirant companies once they meet the necessary criteria.
