Surendra Singh Dhami and Janak Singh Dhami of Malikarjun-1, and Dan Singh Dhami, Neema Dhami and Harihar Singh Dhami of Malikarjun-5 have been nabbed Friday for investigating the murder of Sunil Dhami, who was abducted while returning home from Malikarjun Higher Secondary School on January 13. When the fourth grader´s body was exhumed from an area 500 meters from the school and the local police post, the golden earrings of the kid was missing.
The boy´s father Deependra Singh recovered them from a jewelry shop in Baluwakot, India indicating that the murder was done for the earrings.
Locals claimed the murder may laso have been due to Deepandra Singh´s animosity with some villagers.
“We are taking statements from the five and the murder case looks set to be solved,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Darchula Tek Bahadur Gurung.
DSP Gurung said a team under inspector Sanu Babu Bhnadari has been mobilized to probe the case.
