First Nat'l Open Women Volleyball title to APF

KATHMANDU, Oct 6: The APF Club of Armed Police Force has won the First Armed Police Force IGP National Open Women´s Volleyball Competition.



The APF defeated New Diamond Sports Club 3-2 in the final played at National Sports Council covered hall at Tripureswor. [break]



Although New Diamond won first set with 26-24, APF won second with 25-11 and though ND won third with 25-22, but lost 25-22 and 15-12 in fourth and fifth.



APF received Rs. 250,000 and trophy and New Diamond Rs. 125,000.



APF had won Nepal Police Club in semis and New Diamond had won Western Development Region.



In the match for third place, Western Development Region defeated Nepal Police by 25-18, 25-26 and 25-11 to win Rs. 50,000.



Best player of the competition was APF´s Saraswoti Chaudhary of Dhangadhi, who had been earlier playing from Western Development Region, now won a scooter.
