Fire kills one, guts millions worth property

ROLPA, Feb 18: A fire that broke out Jedwang-3 of Rolpa district on Wednesday killed one person and gutted millions of rupees worth property. The deceased has been identified as Nara Bir Kunwar, 60. Kunwar is reported to have been visually impaired by neighbours.

According to Keshav Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson at the District Police Office (DPO), Rolpa, fire started from Lal Bahadur Kunwar's two storied home and quickly spread and destroyed other seven nearby houses. The fire was spread by children, preliminary investigations report.The fire completely destroyed Nanda Bahadur Kunwar, Lal Bahadur Kunwar, Amar Bahadur Kunwar, Bhim Bahadur Kunwar Prem Kunwar and Parshu Ram Kunwar and Bodi Lal Giri's houses. Two buffalos and a goat were also killed in the fire.

Spokesperson Basnet said that exact details of the loss is not yet come.
