According to police, the fire spread from a kitchen of Mohammad Basir Miya later engulfed six other houses nearby. All belongings of the houses including foodstuff, clothes, utensils and furniture were destroyed in the fire, police said.
The fire was doused by the locals with the help of a fire engine from Rajbiraj Municipality.
