Fire engulfs hotel

PARSA, Birgunj, April 4: Property worth tens of thousands rupees gutted when fire engulfed a hotel nearby old building of Nepal Bank Limited at Maisthan, Birgunj on Tuesday night.



The hotel belonging to Satyam Khadgi had remained closed for the past four days. [break]



The fire that took place at around 11 PM last night destroyed physical properties worth around Rs. 500,000 that includes fridge, beverages and other products, said victim Khadgi.



The fire was taken under control with the mobilization of two fire engines and police force.



Meanwhile, police confiscated a peer of castrated cow while being taken to India from Harpaur VDC, Parsa. A group of thieves had theft the castrated cow from the house of Prem Yadav belonging to Harpur-9, Ramaulim, said police sources.
