The fire had started at around 9 am and it took almost one-and-a-half hours to put off, according to the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu. The cause of the fire still remains unknown, according to police.[break]
The tent house is located on the third floor of an under-construction seven-story building owned by Ram Bhakta Shrestha.
According to police, tent carpet, ceiling fans, UPVS frames, plastic and aluminum tables and kitchen oven panels were destroyed in the fire. Police said the fire was doused with the help of fire brigades, Nepal Police and Nepal Army personnel and locals.
