An official at the Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu, Kati Bhose, told myrepublica.com that the visiting minister is holding talks with Finance Minister Dr Bhattarai in the evening.
During his visit, the Finnish minister is going to discuss with Nepalese officials "Finland´s development cooperation with Nepal as well as the current political situation and development plans of Nepal"
"The situation of the peace process, human rights and democracy are also on the agenda," a Finnish Embassy statement said on Monday. "Trade and commercial issues together with regional and international affairs will be discussed."
During the visit, the two countries are scheduled to sign an agreement on "the Promotion and Protection of Investments". Representatives of Finnish business have also accompanied the Finnish minister.
