Financial support to volleyball players

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Former volleyball players on Sunday provided financial support to earthquake-hit volleyball players Sanjay Aryal and Nima Shrestha in the capital.



Former volleyball players of Eastern Region Milan Shrestha and Uttar Pradesh's (India) Jamal Khan gave Rs 13,000 each to the duo.

Nepal Volleyball Association Treasurer Niroj Maskey handed over the amount to Sanjay and Nima. Shrestha and Khan are currently in Saudi Arabia for employment.


The duo sent the amount to volleyball coach Kapil Shrestha for distribution to the earthquake-hit players. Sanjay's house in Kavre and Nima's house in Sindhupalchowk were badly damaged due to April 25 earthquake.


Sanjay is the member of men's national volleyball team and Nima is the skipper of APF women's volleyball team.
