Ertiga, New Dzire to roll out at Nada Auto Show 2012

KATHMANDU, Sept 15: Ertiga, the first multi-utility vehicle (MUV) from Maruti Suzuki, and New Dzire is all set to enter the Nepali market during the ´NADA Auto Show 2012´ to be held from September 19 to 23.



Arun Intercontinental, the sole authorized distributor of Maruti Suzuki for Nepal, is all set to launch the new cars during the auto show.[break]



“As the auto show is a perfect forum for the automobile sector to market their products and services we have decided to launch the cars during the auto show,” said Bishal Shrestha, marketing, sales and strategy manager at the company.



The company will be launching three variants of Ertiga, namely Lxi, Vxi and Zxi and two variants of Dzire named Vxi and Zxi all of which are peterol versions.

Ertiga -- the MUV that targets the hospitality industry and airports has a 1.4 liter 1373 cc K series petrol engine. According to the company, it delivers 95 ps of maximum power at 6,000 revolutions per minute (rpm) and 130 nm of maximum torque at 4,000 rpm.



The engine can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in 15 seconds with a top speed of 155 km per hour. According to Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), the vehicle delivers a mileage of 15 km per liter in the city and 18 km on highways. The vehicles are available in Ercu Beige, Dusky Brown, Granite Grey, Serene Blue, Silky Silver, and Superior White and Fire Brick Red. According to Shrestha, the vehicle will be available at Rs 2.8 million upwards.







Similarly, the new Dzire -- an entry level sedan has a K-series petrol engine with 5-speed manual transmission.



The petrol Dzire quickly moves from 0-100 kmph in just 12.6 seconds. The Dzire offers a fuel efficiency of 13.2 kmpl in the city and 17.1 kmpl on highways, said the company.



The new Dzire comes with comforting features such as power steering, power windows, automatic climate control system, remote central locking, steering mounted audio controls, dash integrated music system and seat height adjustment for driver among others.



Customers can get two additional colors like Pacific Blue and Glistering Grey in addition to the five colors -- Bright Red, Clear Beige, Arctic White, Silky Silver and Midnight Black available in older version. The sedan is priced at Rs 2.6 million upwards.
