Energy Minister visits Marsyangdi Power Plant

DAMAULI June 20: Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, conducted an inspection of the Marsyangdi Hydropower Project’s power house.



During the visit, Minister Shrestha gathered information from the project’s technical staff on various structures, equipment, and operational conditions of the power plant.

On the occasion, Minister Shrestha highlighted the significant role of hydropower projects in ensuring the country’s energy security and stressed the importance of enhancing production capacity and strengthening infrastructure.


Project Chief Sher Mohammad Hussain provided Minister Shrestha with details about the power plant, which currently generates a total of 69 MW of electricity.
