Egg drop soup

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: A comfort food, especially lovely on a cold day, is a bowl of soup.



Here is how you can easily make the traditional Chinese egg drop soup. Collect the ingredients, which are two eggs, a cup of chopped mushroom, chicken stock (600 ml), chopped scallions, a tablespoon of soy sauce and half a spoon of pepper.



The first step for preparation is to beat the eggs. Once that’s done, boil the chicken stock in a saucepan. Then add soy sauce and pepper to the stock and stir well. Next, add the mushrooms. Wait for the mix to boil. After it starts boiling, drop the beaten eggs little by little and keep on stirring.



After another two minutes on the stove, and garnishing with the chopped scallions, the soup is ready to be served. This recipe will be adequate for two to three servings.



•    two eggs

•     a cup of mushroom (chopped)

•     chicken stock (600 ml)

•     scallions (chopped)

•     a tbl spoon  soy sauce

•     1/2 tbl spoon of pepper
