Durable constitution helps peace and development: special envoy S Jaishankar

KATHMANDU, Sept 19: S Jaishankar, the special envoy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that a durable constitution would contribute to development and peace in Nepal.

In his brief comments to the media before his departure at the Tribhuvan International Airport this morning, Foreign Secretary Jaishankar said promulgation of the constitution by incorporating all the sides concerned would make it durable.


Jaishankar, who arrived here Friday, had met and discussed the constitution making process among other issues with the President, the Prime Minister and leaders of various political parties, including the agitating Madhesh-centric parties.RSS
