Harka Bahadur Waling Rai, 45, stabbed his wife Tuladevi, 42 with a khukuri at their home after he returned drunk from a local bazaar at 11:00 pm. [break]
Only the couple was in the house at the time of the incident, locals said. Their children were living away from their parents.
Half a month ago, police had held Harka Bahadur for torturing his wife. He was later released on parole.
