DPM Shrestha leaves for China

KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayankaji Shrestha left for China on Tuesday afternoon leading a nine-member delegation.



During the eight-day visit,  he is scheduled to meet the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and dignitaries including the chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region, among others.



He is also scheduled to visit to Lhasa, Beijing and Hong Kong before returning to the capital.



Shrestha is being accompanied by Secretary Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Joint Secretary Sewa Lamsal, Under Secretaries Kali Prasad Pokharel, Yadav Khanal and Jhavindra Prasad Aryal from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is set to return back on November 28.
