His mother, Jyoti Maya Shrestha died in course of treatment at the Martyr Ganga Lal Heart Centre this evening. She was 85.
Shrestha had been rushed to the hospital following a cardiac arrest at around 10:00 this morning, according to the DPM´s personal secretary.
A resident of Gorkha, Shrestha is survived by six sons.
