Don't fill empty CA member posts: SC

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday ordered the Constituent Assembly Secretariat not to fill the two vacant posts of CA members until the next decision of the court.



Responding to a writ petition filed by two sacked CA members, Keshab Mainali and Raj Kumar Nalvo (Limbu), the single bench of SC Justice Prakash Osti issued an order to this effect. [break]



"The bench will hold detailed hearings on the matter later," states the stay order, adding, "The CA Secretariat is hereby ordered not to fill the posts left vacant following the dismissal of Mainali and Limbu."



The bench said that it will hold next hearing on the issue after a week and decide whether the CA Secretariat´s decision to sack Mainali and Limbu was rational.
